Pakistani comedian who made generations of Pakistanis laugh is dead. Omer Sharif, who was admitted to a German hospital after contracting mild pneumonia. He died peacefully on October 02, 2021. He was a well-known comedian in Pakistan.
Mr. Sharif was admitted to a hospital in Germany en route to the United States, where he was to be treated for cardiac issues.
Omer Sharif, who was he?
On April 19, 1955, Omer was born in Liaquatabad, Karachi. At the age of 14, he began performing on stage. In 1980, his dramas were released on audio cassette. On The Shareef Show, which aired in 2009, Omar interviewed a number of notable figures from the entertainment and political worlds.
Omer Sharif was one of Pakistan’s most renowned comedians, and his shows were well-received both in Pakistan and across the border. Many celebrities, notably Indian comedian Kapil Sharma, have cited him as an inspiration.
Illness and its treatment
Waseem Badami, a Pakistani television host and news journalist, posted a video of Umar Shareef on Instagram on September 10, 2021, in which he asked treatment assistance from Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan
Soon after the video was released, Indian singer Daler Mehndi penned a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan requesting that comedian Omer Sharif be treated immediately.
The government appointed a medical board on September 11, 2021, to decide whether or not to send him abroad for treatment.

On September 16, 2021, he was granted a US visa for medical care, and the Sindh government approved a fund of 40 million rupees for Omer Sharif’s treatment. On October 2nd, he passed away in Germany.
