Iqbal Academy Pakistan pays tribute to Dr Javed Iqbal. Iqbal Academy Pakistan organized a special seminar titled “ڈاکٹر جاوید اقبال- ایک ہمہ گیر شخصیت” today, on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of Dr. Javed Iqbal, son of Iqbal. Justice (Retd) Nasira Javed Iqbal presided over the seminar. Other participants included Dr. Waheed-uz-Zaman Tariq, Dr. Najeeb Jamal, Mian Sajid Ali and Atiya Zameer.
Host Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen delivered the welcome address. Dr. Syed Masood Alam recited the Holy Quran while Zafar Abbas Jafari delivered the Natya Kalam of Allama Iqbal. The speakers covered the life of Dr. Javed Iqbal, his personality and various aspects of his work.
Iqbal’s Influence on Dr. Javed Iqbal
Justice Nasira Javed Iqbal said that next generation of great people are not usually like them. But Dr. Javed Iqbal was content like his father. There was a lot of compassion in his personality as well. As a judge, the death penalty was very rare in his court. She also narrated various incidents in this regard.
She paid homage to Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain and said that if Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain was not there, Javed Iqbal would not be what he was.

Iqbal Academy Pakistan pays tribute to Dr Javed Iqbal. Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen, in her address said that Dr. Javed Iqbal was not just the son of Iqbal but an all-round personality. He analyzed Fikr-e-Iqbal with modern references. His writings have the aspect of Ijtehad. Dr. Javed Iqbal wrote plays based on history. He also wrote fiction. His fiction covers topics well. He offers philosophical interpretations of Urdu fiction. The style is excellent. Zinda Rud meets all the requirements of a successful past.
Dr Waheed-uz-Zaman Tariq said that Dr Javed Iqbal was endowed with knowledge and wisdom and the powers of good and evil were evident in his eyes. He was also an intellectual, critic, storyteller and judge. Who got heart and eyes from Allama Iqbal. He used to describe the planets of the day openly. Moreover, he used to reveal the secrets of love. He had a passionate personality. Further, he was also enlightened, wise and knowledgeable, an example of which is hard to find.
Translator of Iqbal’s Thoughts
Prof. Dr. Najeeb Jamal said that the late Justice Javed Iqbal decorated the life of Hazrat Iqbal as a symbol. He added that Hazrat Iqbal’s life was like a river and Writing on a person like him makes even the hand and pen tremble. He further said that to write about those who have a great deal of ideas in their minds, who dominate the times, who dominate the history and Dr. Javed Iqbal did it in the best way.

Mian Sajid Ali said that if Iqbal is the name of a thought then its best poet is Javed Iqbal. Atiya Zameer said that most of the plays written by Dr. Javed Iqbal are about riots and liberation events and are a reflection of the collective tragedy.
He also covered the issues facing women and also wrote plays based on satire and humor. Correction work was taken from these dramas. An exhibition of Dr. Javed Iqbal’s books and letters written by him was also arranged on the occasion.
