According to the hospital administration, an emergency has been imposed at Mir Gul Khan Naseer Teaching Hospital to deal with the situation. Security forces have cordoned off the area, and investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti condemned the blast and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives.
Reiterating the government’s resolve to establish peace in Balochistan at all costs, Bugti said that all possible steps would be taken to bring the enemies of peace to justice.
The incident came days after a major terrorist attack in the Mushaf area of Bolan district of Balochistan, which had suffered terrorist attacks along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – the two provinces accounted for more than 96% of the terrorist attacks and deaths in Pakistan in 2024, according to the Global Terrorism Index 2025 report.
Dozens of militants affiliated with the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) on Tuesday blew up a railway track and attacked the Jaffar Express, carrying more than 440 passengers — who were taken hostage.
Security forces neutralized 33 attackers and rescued the hostages after a complex clearance operation.
In addition to the five fatalities in the operation, 26 passengers were martyred by the terrorists, out of whom 18 were security personnel from the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC), three personnel from Pakistan Railways and other departments, and five civilians.
In addition, three FC personnel were martyred in the attack by the militants who were targeting a hideout before ambushing the train.
Furthermore, according to Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DGISPR) Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the terrorist attack was carried out through malicious propaganda on social media platforms.
He said that New Delhi was the main sponsor of the attack, saying, “Indian media spread propaganda using fake videos to exaggerate the situation.”
Meanwhile, the government has announced a compensation package of Rs 5.2 million to the families of the victims and jobs in the Ministry of Railways.
