SIFC holds its 7th Executive Committee Meeting. The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) resumed the 2nd session of its 7th Executive Committee Meeting on 15 December 2023. The meeting was convened to deliberate on agendas of remaining ministries. The meeting was chaired by Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives and attended by concerned Federal and Provincial Ministers and high-level government officials.
The relevant ministries presented progress on sectoral projects and gave plans to steer various policy initiatives under SIFC forum. The Committee reviewed the ongoing efforts and stressed the operationalization of approved initiatives/ projects under a timed framework. The ministries were briefed about the Government’s integral capabilities to help them prepare bankable feasibilities to be broached with investors.

At the end, the Committee undertook exhaustive discussion for developing consensus on cross-sector aspects and recommended certain policy measures to further improve the investment climate.
As SIFC holds its 7th Executive Committee Meeting. SIFC is an inclusive organization with representation from federal and provincial stakeholders in all tiers, besides Army’s representation for facilitation. The Executive Committee is headed by Minister of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives. Moreover, a National Coordinator representing Pakistan Army is also a member. Besides it, there is representation of Federal and Provincial Ministers. Additionally, the Federal Secretaries, Provincial Chief Secretaries and Secretary Board of Investment are also a member. It meets on monthly basis for review of progress.
