All About Israel Attack on Iran details the Israeli attack on Iranian military facilities in the morning of October 26, 2024. Israel was warning of an imminent attack on Iran since the Iran’s first major attack on Israel on October 1, 2024. Iran had fired ballistic missiles on Israeli territory in the said attack. There were no casualties reported in Iran’s attack on Israel.
Thus, Israel has been claiming to conduct a retaliatory attack on Iran since October 1. Several reports continue to claim that the United States was engaging Iran through backdoor diplomacy to not respond to any aggression from Israel. The reports claim that US is urging Iran to not retaliate to Israeli attack of October 26, 2024.
Although, there were no casualties from the Iranian attack on Israel. The Israeli attack results in the killing of 2 Iranian soldiers. The reports claim that over 100 Israeli fighters were used to attack Iran. Moreover, the fighter planes also struck some of their targets in Syria and Iraq during the operation.
Moreover, the Air Defense Systems of several countries were activated during the attack. The initial reports claim that Pakistan, Turkiye and other regional countries were closely watching the situation as the escalation could also result in a larger conflict.
Israeli Attack on Iran
During the attack, blasts were heard near Tehran, the capital of Iran. There were 5 explosions in Tehran and Karaj, a nearby city. Israel attacked the headquarters of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the attack.
Although, Iran is yet to respond officially to Israeli claims. The initial reports suggest that the attack took place in the early morning and IDF forces announce that the operation is successful. Moreover, the Israeli did not hit the Iranian nuclear Sites during the attack.
The reports also show that the operation was targeting specific sites with complete aerial control. Iran is likely to announce its response at a later stage.
