Google’s official launch of Google Wallet in Pakistan brings a new wave of digital payment options to the country. Now, Pakistani users can easily store and access payment cards, loyalty cards, and even boarding passes from Android mobile devices, indulging in a streamlined digital payment experience.
Users of Google Wallet will no longer have to pay with cash; they can use it with just a tap to pay at physical stores, shop online with minimal hassles, and store travel documents without worry.
Farhan Qureshi, Country Director for Google Pakistan, emphasized the impact of this launch, stating that Google Wallet provides a secure, seamless, and efficient way to make payments, shop, and travel, reinforcing Google’s commitment to Pakistan‘s digital future and financial inclusion.
Supporting Banks
Initially, supported banks in Pakistan for Google Wallet payments include Bank AlFalah, Bank of Punjab, Faysal Bank, HBL, JazzCash, Meezan Bank, and UBL, while more banks such as Allied Bank, Easypaisa Digital Bank, JS Bank, and Zindigi will soon follow suit.
Users can enjoy the benefit of paying, in-store and online, wherever Google Pay is accepted. Google Wallet is extending its ambit into the digital shopping landscape of Pakistan.
How to Set up Google Wallet
Setting up Google Wallet is simple, and users can download it from the Google Play Store. To add a new card, users can follow the on-screen instructions to set up contactless payments.
Adding boarding passes and tickets is just as easy, and users can also manually add their loyalty cards to easily access rewards and benefits from their Android devices.
Digital Wallet
Pakistan’s top technology news website, Google Wallet is also expanding its integration into Pakistan’s digital shopping ecosystem. Leading online merchants, such as Onic, Gul Ahmed, Sana Safinaz, J., and Karachi Electric (KE), will integrate with PayFast, allowing users to complete purchases seamlessly using Google Pay.
Businesses using the Safepay platform will also be bringing their customers a much speedier and secure way of processing payments. Apart from payments, Google Wallet will ensure easy travel by allowing users to add boarding passes from Batik Air and Thai Airways directly to their Wallets.
Flight passengers can store tickets digitally-booked via (Bookme.pk ) and (Sastaticket.pk), hence, travelling check-ins and updates simplified. Travelers get a notification in real-time about their departure time and gate changes after boarding passes are added.

Google Wallet prioritizes security and privacy, using tokenization technology to keep transactions safe. Bank verification is required before adding a card, and screen lock protection ensures only the device owner can access the Wallet. Users can also manage their settings to control what information is stored and accessed. With Google Wallet now available in Pakistan, users can enjoy a more secure, faster, and more convenient way to pay, shop, and travel.
