Anwar Maqsood to launch new theatre play “House Arrest” in Islamabad.
Anwar Maqsood House Arrest is a new theatre play to be launched at Pakistan National Council of Arts in Islamabad. The theatre play is going to begin on April 24, 2025. The actor announced the launch of his play via a press conference in Islamabad. Mr. Maqsood stated that this play will provide some entertainment to the residents of the twin cities.
Veteran Actor and Producer Anwar Maqsood has announced that he is bringing his latest play in Islamabad titled “House Arrest.” He added that although the name of this play is House Arrest. It does not include any political satire. “It does not include the name of any political party, any institution or any specific entity,” he said. Mr. Maqsood added that this lifestyle play is actually an unusual story where a son has locked 2 women in a room.
Mr. Maqsood added that KopyKats will be launching this production in partnership with local businesses. He further said that the play will bring laughter to the audience. He added that this will be one of the best plays in country’s history.
Previously, Anwar Maqsood has produced several amazing plays on the same stage. The most interesting of his plays were Sadhay Choda August which was a series and represented the sufferings of people at the time of partition of India and Pakistan in 1947.
Anwar Maqsood represents very few Pakistani writers who hold marks on the industry.
