Even an ordinary TikToker or Influencer would have some sense on how to report any information to the general public.
Indian Media was full of fake news for the last few days and shockingly no one was questioning.
Indian Journalists Seriously Need Some Schooling. Well, this is on a very serious note and everyone in the world should consider helping them out from this mental inability to see how real world is. We haven’t forgotten the EU Disinfo Lab where India was targeting Pakistan through fake media organizations and non governmental entities for over 15 years. It was using fake names, false identities and sham organizations to build a fake narrative against Pakistan in the EU and United Nations. It was the European Union that unearthed it. It seems that India has learnt nothing from this public shaming.
While the trend of fake news or creating hype is a global phenomenon. Yet, it is mostly seen amongst the generic social media users, some influencers or people looking to get extensive views on their posts. One can hardly see this trend in the mainstream news organizations. The difference of opinions exists. However, there is a way to represent those views as well. But what do you expect if you give matchstick in the hands of a monkey? They can literally burn the entire jungle with their stupidity.
Well, the quote is quoted for a reason. The Indian journalists were the monkeys who were trying to burn their own country with their war mongering. It was shocking to see every trend, each post and all reactions. There was no sense. In fact, it was all nonsense. There was no one to ask who was behind the Pahalgam attack. No one questioned why aren’t you showing any evidence of Pakistan’s involvement. There were no discussions on how they could blame an attack on another country while being unable to locate the militants for several days.
Trending: War Rhetoric
There was one trend. And like monkeys, everyone was following the trend. Everyone was blaming Pakistan for an attack which it was vehemently claiming it is not involved it. Pakistan also offered serious investigations involving other neutral nations into the attack. However, the Indian media continued the war rhetoric. From the day one, their focus remain on instigating the public instead of verifying the facts. They continued to follow the rhetoric instead of looking at the logic. They continued to drumbeat a lie rather than to get into reasoning. They were all making a joke of themselves. They continue until now.
The Indian media was more of a soap or a fiction drama rather than any reality. One could see unreal claims, propaganda over facts and sharing unreal images on mainstream news channels. The channels would invite Pakistani analysts and try to insult their guests; a phenomenon that has never existed on serious media. There are differences of opinion; they are shared, heard and an analysis is given. Instead, we saw dogfights on these channels often going to extremely inappropriate lengths.
They continued with their war mongering for several days. The analysts were offensive. Yet, the hosts were sometimes more offensive. They were all longing for a war. They were openly threatening their neighbor with very strong armed forces and a nuclear deterrence. At some occasions, these guests from Pakistani side also went offensive due to the host acting as a drama actor instead of a journalist. It is all laughable. Yet, no one can imagine that kind of stupidity anywhere in the world.
Journalism and the Fake News
As we saw it, so we propose that Indian Journalists Seriously Need Some Schooling. Interestingly, the Indians continued their war mongering for several days. Resultantly, India attacked some parts of disputed territory of Kashmir and on the international border with Pakistan. Pakistan responded affirmatively. While India attacked the children, Pakistani strikes focused on the military infrastructure. Pakistan destroyed the French Rafale that attacked the Pakistani territory. However, India refused. So did its media. They were hiding the facts from their own people. Probably, they thought that the world wouldn’t see their disgrace.
Yet, the news was all over the international media. I’m still unclear whether they have shared this information on their news screens or not.
Most interestingly, the anchors, analysts and hosts were claiming of the surprising attack on Pakistan. One would call it beginning of Ghazwa-e-Hind. One host would claim that Islamabad is attacked. Another would claim that the seaport is burning. Someone else came up with a news that all cities are attacked. A newsroom with around five guests announced that Indian forces have entered Pakistan. The other guests were all cheerful of these claims. You can check this yourself. Amid all this, no one was questioning whether there is iota of any fact in their claims. Tomorrow, some other idiot would come up with claims that do not exist at all. Yet, it may take days to verify their idiocy and it may result in some other stupidity. Thus, Indian Journalists Seriously Need Some Schooling.
Journalism in Pakistan
At the same time, the Pakistani channels were maturely handling the situation. Of course, they were sticking to their point of view. Still, they were questioning everything, they were looking into facts. There was data and information; whether from the government, reporters or the social media. All information was first verified and later published. The analysis were also very composed and had some sense. Interestingly, the Director General of Inter Services Public Relations was regularly appearing on media screens in a very calm and composed manner. He was responding to all rhetoric in a clear and affirmative tone. There was no direct threat. Instead, he simply stated that Indian media will have no need to create hue and cry if Pakistan attacks. If Pakistan attacks, everyone will know. Definitely, there wouldn’t be any need to run fake news campaigns at that moment.
Although, the Indian media has shown little sense for the last few days. Yet, as a gentle neighbor, we must take this opportunity to offer some journalism education to the illiterate counterparts.
