The visionary leader stops likelihood of a nuclear war between India and Pakistan at the last moment.
President Trump Creates Opportunity Out Of War. While his adversaries were constantly opposed to his policies and often mocked him. He has changed the course of everything, even wars. He has taken a strong position to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.
While the previous administrations did not use all the strength of a US administration, President Trump uses it and uses it strongly. It has led to lowering of temperature between Russia and Ukraine. Thus, peace is getting a chance in the world. Instead, he is offering the economic opportunities to the world; of course, while ensuring that the American interests are also secured.
It seems he looks every crisis as an opportunity. It was reflected at the height of the conflict between India and Pakistan. Pakistan and India were at the verge of nuclear standoff. Both the countries were preparing for a dangerous nuclear standoff which could have led to the beginning of the World War III.
However, President Trump turned into an opportunity. While the countries were going through the crisis. Mr. Trump entered, offered the carrot, closed the deal and ended the matter through a ceasefire. So let’s observe the occurrences.
An attack on Pahalgam, 400 kilometers inside disputed region of Kashmir occurred on April 22, 2025. The Indian side blamed Pakistan for the attack. Pakistan offered independent investigations. The US administration knew that they fight regularly. They wanted them to resolve the matter through themselves. However, it asked both sides to avoid conflict, adopt restraint and manage through a dialogue.
The global leaders also asked India to exercise restraint. The common friendly nations including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Turkey and China were using their relations with both countries to avoid a standoff. Instead, India chose to attack Pakistan on May 7, 2025.
Pakistan showed restraint. Yet, India continued to escalate the situation on the borders and within the settled territory of Pakistan. On May 10, Pakistan responded with a decisive attack on the Indian territory and the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Interestingly, President Trump’s administration was already working behind the scenes. It was offering serious social, political and economic benefits aligned with peace. Both India and Pakistan are developing nations with meagre economies in front of the United States. Moreover, the United States stand as one of the most powerful countries in the world.
Thus, he was able to manage the crisis within 48 hours. Resultantly, the war did not begin, the temperature lowered and dialogue became an option. While it is important that US must mediate between the two countries at the earliest. It is also necessary to begin the process at the earliest. Yet, the ball remains with India and Pakistan to take it as an opportunity and resolve the matters amicably with the US assistance. And here, President Trump is the opportunity.
