China to Boost Pakistan’s Military Power, Says Indian Defence Analyst. India’s national security and aerospace magazine Force has claimed that China is backing Pakistan to become the region’s leading military power.
In a recent YouTube video, Force analyst Pravin Sawhney shared his views on Pakistan’s new Army Rocket Force Command. The announcement came from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Sawhney called the development “big news” and said the new command is clearly modeled on China’s PLA Rocket Force.
China’s Hidden Role in Past Conflict
Sawhney claimed that during Operation Sindoor, India faced more than just the Pakistani military. He believes Pakistan had full support from China’s non-kinetic capabilities, such as electronic warfare and cyber tools — without China directly entering the battlefield.
He added, “China has now decided to fully support Pakistan in its rise as the leading military force in South Asia.”
Pakistan Air Force Gains an Edge
Sawhney also highlighted the Pakistan Air Force’s strong performance in a recent face-off with India in May. According to him, the PAF operated at the operational level of warfare, using Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missiles and avoiding traditional dogfights.
He noted that these tactics relied on a sophisticated digital ecosystem, aligned with China’s concept of multi-domain operations.
Chinese Satellites to Guide Pakistani Missiles
The analyst stated that Pakistan’s rocket command and air force would be supported by China’s BeiDou satellite system. This would allow Pakistan to:
- Maintain constant surveillance
- Conduct precision missile strikes
Counter to India’s Bunker Buster Strategy
Sawhney also addressed India’s military plans. He said the DRDO is expanding the AGNI-V missile, a nuclear-capable vector with a range of 5,000 km. It’s designed to destroy underground bunkers located 80 to 100 meters deep.
However, Pakistan’s new rocket force could act as a deterrent, discouraging India from attempting such strikes.
“This rocket command will stop India from launching attacks on Pakistani assets,” Sawhney concluded.
Army fully equipped to counter conventional, non-conventional and hybrid threats: COAS
On the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation and honoured the sacrifices of Muslims in the subcontinent that led to the creation of Pakistan.
In his message, the army chief described Pakistan as a stronghold of the Islamic world and a symbol of interfaith harmony, where minorities continue to contribute significantly to national development.
Furthermore, he reiterated Pakistan’s immense human and financial sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. Referring to the Pahalgam incident, he strongly condemned the attack and offered support for an impartial international investigation. At the same time, he criticized India for targeting civilians in Pakistan.
In response to Indian aggression, he praised Pakistan’s military for launching Operation Banyan-um-Marsoos, calling it a bold and historic response that reflects the military’s courage and unwavering resolve.
Moreover, Field Marshal Munir emphasized the Army’s full readiness to counter conventional, non-conventional, and hybrid threats. He stated, “We seek peace, but will never compromise on independence or sovereignty. Any attempt to harm the country’s integrity will be met with an immediate and resolute response.”
In addition, he reaffirmed unwavering support for the oppressed people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the only just and lasting solution is to grant Kashmiris their right to self-determination.
He also expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine, urging the international community to take immediate steps to protect their rights and dignity.
Finally, paying tribute to the martyrs of the freedom struggle, he praised their courage and sacrifice, saying their legacy continues to guide the nation. He concluded by expressing full confidence in the Pakistan Army’s professionalism and combat readiness and pledged to dedicate all efforts to Pakistan’s stability and progress.
