United Nations General Assembly Passed a Resolution Against Israeli Occupation of Palestinian Territories.

Voting Trend on Israeli Occupation in United Nations was amazing as 124 member states voted in favor of the resolution. Overall, 43 member states did not vote or abstained from voting. However, 14 countries voted against the resolution in the General Assembly.

The resolution of 18 September is titled: “Advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice on the legal consequences arising from Israel’s policies and practices in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and from the illegality of Israel’s continued presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.”

While the Voting Trend on Israeli Occupation in United Nations is evidently in favor of Palestine. It demands the withdrawal of Israeli military from the Palestinian territories. Furthermore, over 68% votes of the General Assembly demand the implementation of resolution and only 7% support Israel. Yet, the resolution of the General Assembly cannot be implemented due to its non-binding nature.
