Pakistan claimed Pahalgam Attack as a false flag operation to blame it and attack the country.
The fact that Indian government failed to get international support for attacking Pakistan due to lack of evidence of Pakistani involvement remains a huge challenge for India.
It is also partially linked to the upcoming Indian Elections in Bihar.
India Can Stage Another False Flag Operation in May 2025. The reason is pretty clear as the Indian attack on Pakistan has backfired. India was expecting global support for its attack on Pakistan. Prime Minister Modi, EAM Jai Shankar and Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh had taken every opportunity to connect with all foreign leaders. The call on, telephonic calls and the media hype was connecting terrorism with Pakistan. Everyone condemned the attack and so did Pakistan. However, Pakistan offered an independent investigation into the attack.
The war mongering continued. Indian journalists made false claims often using fake images, AI generated content and kept on the hostility towards Pakistan. They also didn’t have any evidence to connect Pakistan with the Pahalgam attack. However, they continued to use the rhetoric and create an atmosphere within India hoping to create a similar campaign to EU Disinfo Lab globally.
Therefore, we must look into the reasons of this hostility. India continues to escalate the war rhetoric in India whenever there are elections. It is particularly the case with the ruling Bharti Janata Party (BJP) of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Clearly, the elections in Bihar province are near and BJP has been vying to win a majority of total 40 parliamentary seats in the State. Currently, BJP has 12 seats in the Bihar province. The war rhetoric took the propagations to 25 to 30 seats for BJP. However, the current setback reveals that BJP may only receive 3 or 4 seats in the elections. Thus, there remains a reason behind increasing tensions with Pakistan.
After the Pahalgam Attack
After Pahalgam, India chose to remain offensive and began an unprovoked attack on Pakistan in the night of May 6 and 7, 2025. Indian missiles made a strike in settled parts of Pakistan while killing innocent children, including 7 year old Irtaza Abbas Turi. Pakistan showed restraint at the moment. Yet, it was prepared to strike back into India.
India continued its war mongering. Pakistan responded in the early hours of Saturday, May 10, 2025. Pakistan attacked India as per Chapter 7 and Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations.
The Article 51 states, “Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defence shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security.”
When India Got the Shock
The strike shocked India. It was the first ever strike from Pakistan inside Indian territory after 1971. Pakistan attacked multiple military installations spread all across India. The official statement added that Pakistan will attack the economic targets in India if India responds to Pakistan. Moreover, Pakistan also called a meeting of National Command Authority which deals with the nuclear deterrence against the existential threats against Pakistan. Resultantly, the US involvement ended up the matter in an immediate ceasefire.
It was all against what Indian government had planned. Owing to global developments, India considered Pahalgam Attack as an opportunity to connect Pakistan with terrorism. However, India could not show any evidence to link it with Pakistan. India’s expectations were dashed after it was asked by the global community to remain calm and look for peaceful means to the issue. Thus, its inability to garner international support along with a humiliating end to its war mongering keeps the abhorrence in its ranks.
Pakistan – Victim of India Sponsored Terrorism
Pakistan has been a staunch advocate against terrorism and it has fought a long war to root out militancy from within its own country. It has been warning of a catastrophic disaster due to the Kashmir issue. It continues to state that a unilateral Indian decision against the people of Kashmir will never be settled until they use the democratic and peaceful norms of the modern world. Kashmiris also hold hatred against ruthless behavior of Indian forces against armless innocent civilians.
Moreover, Pakistan remains a victim of Indian sponsored terrorism in Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkwa. It continues to bravely fight this direct Indian infiltration through its own means. On the other hand, Indian failure to intensify its sponsored terrorist attacks in Pakistan is creating a strange trauma within its own rank and file. Thus, it chooses to engage Pakistan in a direct fight through any means; however, after gaining support from the international community.
India Can Stage Another False Flag Operation
For this, India may use another false flag operation within India. The attack could follow a similar pattern to Pahalgam. It may target a specific Hindu community or it may use some false evidence to involve Pakistan. While it may offer an immediate opportunity to India until the new false evidence is proven as concocted and tampered. India may initiate an attack on the Pakistani territory and try to gain international sympathy. For this, it may use a strategic plan to conduct this new operation.
Moreover, India may delay the false flag attack for a few weeks ahead. But it is most likely to occur before the major electoral defeat is imminent to Prime Minister Modi’s BJP in India. So, if it India delays this operation owing to its current strategic failure. Pakistan can still hope for a false flag operation within a few months.
Although, it is clear that an attack on Pakistan will be thwarted and responded back swiftly. Yet, the world must know that India has been continuously engaged in false narrative building across the world. It uses all means, literally unethical, to put blame on Pakistan. On the other hand, Pakistan has limited choice since neighbors on borders cannot be changed. Therefore, the world leaders need to be careful with any Indian provocation in the region as it may be the beginning of the Third World War.
