He said that the killers were young and emotional and that does not make a big issue. Rather, he claims that it’s a normal matter and anyone can kill someone in such an emotional state.

Mr. Khattak also shared his views that nothing big has happened. While the media is over emphasizing, the incident did not damage Pakistan,” he added. The video of Mr. Khattak can be seen here:

Killing of Priyantha Kumara

With chants of ‘gustakh-e-nabi ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda sar tan se juda’, fanatics in Pakistan burnt a man alive after accusing him of blasphemy. The victim was a Sri Lankan national working in a Pakistani textile export company. According to initial report submitted to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, Punjab Police claims that this was a trap. The report says that Mr. Kumara was trying to clear the banners holding slogans of Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan. He was doing so as there were some foreign delegation was was coming over to visit the factory. However, the workers were having some anguish. And, one of the workers chanted slogan of Labaik while accusing him of blasphemy.

Resultantly, a group of young men from within the factory took hold of Mr. Kumara. He was severely beaten, tortured and burnt alive by the crowd. One of the Pakistani colleagues of Mr. Kumara was trying to protect him from the crowd. However, he was unable to stand his ground in front of huge crowd. Pakistani government has announced a gallantry award for the Pakistani national who tried to protect Mr. Kumara.

Yet, Mr. Khattak has a different point of view. He believes that it isn’t a big mistake for a crowd to get emotional and bur someone in broad daylight. Let’s hope he doesn’t get into such a situation (ever).
