Zahir Jaffer confronts Noor's father in court, seeks pardon

Zahir Jaffer confronts Noor’s father in court, seeks pardon. He informs the court that Mr. Mukaddam knew about his relationship with Noor which had existed for the last 3 years. Zahir was present in court today during the indictment in his killing of Noor Mukaddam.

Zahir Jaffer has accepted the crime in front of the honorable court. “I accept I have committed this crime, now it’s up to you to punish or forgive me,” he tells court. Yet, he seeks forgiveness for his crime.

He was clam during the hearing. “We quarreled, and we both were angry, and this all happened,” stated Zahir. He was presented before the Additional Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani in Islamabad.

Moreover, he was found much confident in his stance when he was constantly speaking during the court hearing. He was asking the judge to hear him instead of ‘lawyers,’ since it was about him. Zahir was visibly disturbed with his thoughts of going to jail. “I want to apologize,” he told the court.

During the hearing, he also had a confrontation with Mr. Mukaddam. “I was in a relationship with your daughter for the last three years. My life is now in your hands. Please have mercy on me,” he told him. Yet, he told him that he was ready to die if he (Mr. Mukaddam) wants him to be hanged.

Zahir also took the opportunity to blame the staff of Therapy Works. He stated that if they hadn’t interrupted him, he wouldn’t have killed her. Although, this is far from truth as a number of people have already reported that Zahir had killed Noor before the arrival of Therapy Work’s team on the spot.
